Venues: St Anne’s Church, Ryde & Curzon Hall, Marsfield
This dynamic couple took all of three months to throw together a phenomenal celebration. Honouring their very diverse heritages, (Lidia, a Russian-Australian and Raffi an Australian-Swiss-Armenian!) there was never a dull photography moment during this 14 hour wedding! The couple started off with an Armenian tradition; the groom arrives at his bride-to-be’s house, bringing gifts of a wedding dress, shoes and sweets – all to the beat of a live drum. Family and friends then dance in wait of the bride who dresses and makes her appearance before the guests. After more dancing and eating, the couple made their way to St Anne’s Church in Ryde for the official ceremony. It was then on to the exquisite Curzon Hall in Marsfield, Sydney for the reception dinner with more dancing and celebrating!
